Common Ground on the Hill: The Burns Sisters

“Part folk, part rock, part country, and all heart..." -- The Folk Times

The Burns Sisters are known for their soaring familial harmonies, charismatic stage presence, and generosity of both spirit and song. They are beloved by fans, other artists, and all the crews who work with them. Everybody loves the Burnsies!
For Jeannie, Marie, and Annie, music and service have been woven into the fabric
of their lives from the start. Their mother sang in a church choir and shared the joy
of song with her family. Raised with 12 siblings in a politically and socially active
family, they grew up with the belief that you stand up for the rights of all
people. They continue to walk their talk and have stayed true to their ideals, within
themselves and in their music. Their music is engaging and leaves you feeling that
while you see challenges that face us, you have faith they can be handled. Their
performance is guaranteed to lift your energy and fill your heart. The musical scope of the Burns Sisters is broad and they are always open to new challenges. They have performed in a vast array of venues, from festivals to symphony halls and on tour with Arlo Guthrie. Their most recent release is the critically acclaimed, Wild Bouquet.
