An award-winning scholar and respected teacher, Michael Elavsky brings an extensive background of teaching, research and service to his position within the College of Communications.
His research and teaching interests include: media studies; ethnomusicology; postsocialism; international studies; politics of globalization and representation; cultural studies; popular culture; and music. His research has been published in Cultural Studies, Cultural Studies Critical Methodologies, Journal of Popular Music Studies and Studies in Symbolic Interaction: A Research Annual.
