Making Music on the Hill: The Peabody and the BSO at McDaniel College's Orchestra / Piano Camp

A special concert during McDaniel College's 9th Annual Orchestra Camp, CHamber and Collaborative Piano Studies, a two-week-long resident Music Camp of intensive study of orchestral or piano skills for serious music students aged 12 - 20. Jeffrey Sharkey, pianist, teacher, composter, chamber musician, is the Director of The Peabody Institute of The Johns Hopkins University. Cellist Alison Wells has toured throughout Europe and is on the faculty at The Peabody. Jonathan Carney, Baltimore Symphony Orchestra concertmaster, has toured internationally. Julie Marie Savignon, soloist, chamber musician and teacher, is currently the associate concertmaster of the Pensylvania Centre Orchestra. Violist Jessica Sharkey is the daughter of Jeffrey Sharkey and Alison Wells Sharkey. She is making her Chamber Music on the Hill debut.

Their performance will include Schumann's Piano Quintet and Brahms' Piano and Violin Sonata in G Major.
