The Masterworks Chorale of Carroll County will perform Mozart's “Requiem,” in collaboration with the Frederick Regional Youth Orchestra, Sunday, May 18 at 7:00 p.m. The concert will take place in (Big) Baker Memorial Chapel on the campus of McDaniel College.
The Masterworks Chorale of Carroll County, formerly known as the Carroll County Choral Arts Society, was founded in 1977 under the direction of conductor Dr. David Kreider. Since its founding, the group has brought the community the works of Mozart, Brahms, Haydn, Handel, and Mendelssohn, as well as premiering works by contemporary composers. Dr. Margaret Boudreaux has led the choir since 2002, and McDaniel College organist, Ted Dix currently serves as accompanist.
