Masterworks Chorale of Carroll County, under the direction of Dr. Margaret Boudreaux and featuring Ted Dix at the organ, presents Handel's Messiah this fall. Joining them on this performance is the Frederick Youth Symphony.
The Masterworks Chorale of Carroll County, formerly known as the Carroll County Choral Arts Society, was founded in 1977 under the direction of conductor David Kreider. Since its founding, the group has brought the community the works of Mozart, Brahms, Haydn, Handel, and Mendelssohn, as well as contemporary composers. The group has performed in Baltimore at the Cathedral of Saint Mary Our Queen, and with the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions Choir. It has performed with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and has jointly hosted several concerts in Washington, D.C. with the Georgetown University Orchestra and Choir at the National Building Museum and at Georgetown University.
