McDaniel's Center for the Study of Aging is offering this six week program covering the following topics: (1) changing demography, stereotyping and ethical considerations, (2) public policy and aging, (3) effective communication, (4) nutrition & exercise, (5) managing difficult behaviors, and (6) physical & mental health and aging. Upon completion of this 6-wk program, participants will be able to:
a. Understand the needs and wants of one of the fastest growing segments of society, the population of adults over age 60.
b. Improve attitudes toward the older
c. Improve compassion toward elders.
d. Improve communication with older adults.
e. More fully understand the physical,
cognitive, and emotional challenges of aging.
