“Singing on Stage”

The McDaniel College Department of Music will present a performance by its “Singing on Stage” class on Sunday, May 5 at 7:30 p.m. in WMC Alumni Hall.  Under the direction of Kyle Engler, students in the class will perform selections from renowned operas and Broadway musicals.

Opera will be represented by pieces from Mozart's “Magic Flute” and “Cosi fan tutti,” and Verdi's “La Traviata.”  Broadway selections will include songs from “Candide,” “On the Town,” “Chicago,” “Bye Bye Birdie,” “Hamilton,” and “Dear Evan Hansen.”  Students performing are Allisa Baker, Emma Bartels-Jones, Flannery Bendel-Simso, Nailah Calhoun, Karly Congero, Trevor Haupt, Ben Michaels, Danielle Taylor, and Jennifer Willard.
