Please come and join to watch Switched at Birth episode that features ASL only (yes, with subtitles to those who are not fluent in ASL) on March 7th. I am proud to announce that this episode is the first show with only ASL ever in history!
The purpose of this event is to recognize and understand of watching the show in Deaf individual's view. Through out the history of closed captioning for TV programs, commercials, and movies, closed captioning has opened the door for Deaf community to be able to entertain by watching TV at any time and any place. Now with this event, the intention is for you all to step in the Deaf people's shoes and watch the show. Yes, subtitles will be displayed. This would provide a neat new perspective for those who are new learners of American Sign Language and Deaf culture :)
After the show, I would love for you all to stay just for a bit to discuss any questions or comments that I will bring up! The interpreter will be provided. Please invite your friends, family members, or any one who would be interested in coming to this event!!
