Laila El-Haddad and Maggie Schmitt will discuss their book The Gaza Kitchen, A Palestinian Culinary Journey on March 25th at 5pm in McDaniel Lounge. The book features a richly woven text of 130 recipes, photographs and conversations with cooks, farmers, economists and others detailing life in the Gaza Strip. The recipes and vignettes provide a glimpse inside the Gazan kitchen to learn about the cuisine, history, and resilience of the Gazan people. El-Haddad is also author of Gaza Mom, published in 2010.
