The McDaniel College Department of Music will present a performance by the McDaniel String Ensemble Friday, November 9 at 7:00 p.m. in (Little) Baker Chapel. The four-member ensemble is under the direction of Music Lecturer Nicholas Currie.
The program will feature “Hornpipe” from Georg Friedrich Handel’s Water Music Suite; J. S. Bach’s Cello Suite and Concerto in D minor, S. 1043, W. A. Mozart’s Violin Sonata No. 6, K. 301 as well as music by Telemann, Bréval, Corelli and others. The ensemble is comprised of McDaniel string students Sarah Hull, cello, Leanna Jasek-Rysdahi, cello, Kevin McClellan, violin, Luis Ortiz, violin, and Mara Seibert, violin. Joining them on select pieces will be flautist Victoria Mansfield and pianist Charles Eron.
